Corinth canal (duration 15′) First day / First stop
It had been an inspiration for almost 2500 years ! The man who first had the idea was Periandros the tyrant from Corinth, though he found it difficult on the way, he came up to another amazing idea ! The name of it was diolkos . Finally after several people trying to succeed in this amazing and important achievement, the canal was constructed in 1893.
Ancient Corinth (duration 45′ – 60′) First day / Second stop
An important city-state of ancient Peloponnese which became really powerful and rich, with great interest for splendid buildings such as the temple of Apollo (560 BC), the fountain of Peirene, the Roman concert hall, the Isthmian Games that organised (similar to those in Olympia), the baths and so on.
Archaeological site of Mycenae (duration 60′ – 90′) First day / Third stop
The archaeological site in northeastern Peloponnese includes the imposing ruins of a city that played an important role in the development of the classical Greek culture. A major centre of the Greek civilisation in the second millenium BC, dominated in the most part of southern Greece and the period between 1600 and 1100 BC is called Mycenaean Period. The administrative system, the supreme architecture, the unique artifact the first testimonies of the Greek language on Linear B tablets are elements of the Mycenaean period that inspired Homer to compose his famous epic poems Odyssey and Illiad.
Nafplio (duration 60′ – 90′) First day / Fourth stop
A beautiful destination which is considered and it has been voted as one of the most picturesque cities in Europe ! Has very well preserved Venetian fortresses like Palamidi castle and Bourtzi . It was the capital of the first Hellenic republic from 1828 until 1834 and now is the capital of the regional area of Argolis.

Bassae, Temple of Apollo (duration 45′ – 60′) Second day / First stop
This temple is the first monument in Greece listed in the World Heritage of UNESCO and was one of the most important and imposing temples of the ancient world, located in the rocky Bassae. The famous temple built in the 5th century BC in the mountains of Arkadia combining doric, corinthian and ionic style and was dedicated to the god of healing and the sun.

Located in the western Peloponnese, in a green valley at the confluence of Alpheios and Kladeos rivers, is the archaeological site of ancient Olympia which is a major tourist attraction. The most celebrated Greek sanctuary dedicated to the worship of Zeus. The father of the gods, in whose honour Pan-Hellenic Games were held every four years from 776 BC until 393 AD. Great of importance as a religious and athletic center, but as well the buildings were amazing like the biggest temple in all Peloponnese that considered the perfect example of Doric architecture.

(tower in Turkish) is the trademark of Nafplio. It ‘s a small island in the middle of the city’s port that can be visited by boat from the seafront.
Palamidi castle ( Nafplio )
This castle is preserved in excellent condition and is of great Venetian fortification architecture. It is accessed by the road or by the famous steps that are supposed to be 999! From there you can have a great panoramic view of the city.
Epidaurus
Another important small city in ancient Greece, in Peloponnese, chose to establish the Asclepeion which became the most praised healing centre of the classical world where ill people went to be cured. For this purpose they constructed a theatre among other buildings which nowdays is famous for the exceptional acoustics, symmetry and beauty, seats up to 14,000 people and is still used today during the Summer Festival of Epidaurus.
